This Regret I Got Accustomed To.
One of my close friends today said something that really made sense to me. It’s easy to be sad, to be depressed. When you’ve been that way for so long it’s comfortable to you. Happy people are the truly unique ones because to be happy is a hard thing in the world today. Had a bad day today, but my retainers for the piercings I’m getting arrived, so that made my day better.

Dear Classy Assy Full and Sassy,
I just love when you come up with lines like that!
In the “Ethics”, Aristotle tells us that Happiness is NOT a feeling, but a way of life. If you do “the right thing”, you will be as happy as possible.
You and I must figure out what the right thing to do is, and do it. That’s all we can do. That’s all that’s expected of us.
From your post below, you have figured out what is right. You and I just need to execute the plan!
Honey, I’m so proud of you for thinking, feeling, and striving. Do you realize how special you are?
So proud of you!!!
Love,
Mike

When I headed over to see Maggie Saturday night, I did think of you and I did know I would disappoint you. I did feel guilty.
She stood me up, just like she has for seven years.
I ended up doing the right thing only because she stood me up. My intention was to backslide and get involved with her. She’s all I got left. Her figuratively slapping me in the face straightened me out. I went to the theater alone, having bought two tickets. Was very lonely.
School better pull me out of this slump; otherwise, I’ll have to – OMIGOD! – do what Aristotle tells me to do!
Honey, you ain’t gonna believe this, but I just realized what I gotta do by typing that line.

Honey,
Your Mom must be incredible to have brought a jewel like you into this world! I think I love her too!
